THEATER

I am a director, writer, actor and producer. I make multimedia plays and theatrical events with a strong design component. Much of my work explores intersections and overlaps: past and present, East and West, low brow and high brow (but never middle-brow).

I started producing theater when I was 17 years old and founded Running Sun Theater Company, which produced several plays by James Purdy and the world premiere of Tennesee Williams' last short plays. Other early producing credits include STOP THE WAR: A FESTIVAL FOR PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST, a 12-hour artistic protest against the First Gulf War, which won an Obie Citation.
